I'm speaking with the elevator operators at the Usha Research Center, 2F. There are four workers, and three of them are fanboys of Vahn, Noa, and Gala. They express their gratitude for their favourite character after we had just finished making all four of the TimeSpace Bombs.

Operator 1 (top left): "Hmmf! Some people just don't appreciate our hard work..."
Operator 2 (top right): "I'm a fan of yours, Vahn! I like you because you're the strong, silent type."
Operator 3 (bottom left): "Noa, you're the greatest! Once the Mist is gone, I'll be your tutor and teach you about a lot of things."
Operator 4 (bottom right): "Any man would want to live like you, Gala. Stoic and bold, and a little bit playful!"

lmao the Gala description cracks me up.

I really like Sol.

Playing as a character in Sol is definitely not my favourite, but its qualities are fascinating. One of my favourite things about these older games was how much room there was for a player's imagination. What we see is what we get, but by talking to NPCs, you can gather clues to deduce what the nature of a place or society is really like.

Sol is rich with this. So many people here are greedy, bitter, untrustworthy, selfish, disloyal; and a lot of these characteristics are fueled by pain, addiction, and sense of misplacement. Or not! It's an interesting contrast to the many smaller towns you pass by before Karisto Kingdom. Not everyone shares those traits, of course, but the friendlier and more considerate people stand out in a way that makes you wonder where they really might be from.

I love this game.

Something I found interesting in Sol:

In the Muscle Dome, there's a guy seated at a table on the bottom right of the arena. He says something intriguing after Vahn and co. clear the mist.

"The Mist downstairs may have cleared, but they say there's still a lot of Mist elixir here. That's why the Seru are still so tough."

I wonder what he could mean by 'Mist elixir'. Perhaps he's referring to the essence of the Mist? Kind of neat, either way.
